"Loved going back in time when we went on a family vacation in the 60’s. Time and upkeep has been kind to this place. The bed was very comfortable and the room stayed nice and warm."

"I needed to stop for the night on a long drive between RI & NC. All I needed was a cozy bed, a hot shower, & peace/quiet, nothing fancy. That’s exactly what I got. Great location off of I-81. Great diner for breakfast right next door."

"We went for a quick getaway, and are already planning a longer trip back with our kids. The staff were so helpful (we forgot all our toiletries) and the setting was gorgeous. It’s a lodge in a national park, not a luxury retreat in Aspen, so accommodations fit the setting, but all in all we were really happy. The only ding is that the mattress wasn’t *great* but we were fine. "

"Room wasn’t up to standards, bed cover had hand stains of grease or something black, most electrical outlets were worn out and won’t work, room smelled musty and old smoke, light covers were smashed, refrigerator was dirty. "

"Overall this is a great place and very convenient for going to Shenandoah. The only aspect where I thought things were lacking was the cleaning, as there was a bag of trash left hanging from the door and there was no shampoo. I didn’t discover the missing shampoo until it was too late to do anything about it, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to wash my hair."
