"I think I would classify the “hotel” as a motel. Having said that, I would say the rooms are nice, clean and have a modern cabin feel. Location is good and you can walk to Main St. and the lake. Parking is somewhat limited but you can park within steps of your room. Since there is no office or lobby you check into your room using a lockbox and a key code. The rooms have a Keurig coffee maker but when we arrived there were no pods and we discovered the TV didn’t work and the remote needed...

"Our stay at Placid Bay Hotel was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect and right on the lake. We stayed at the country comfort cottage and it was super spacious, clean and comfortable! Service and communication was excellent. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else during a trip to lake placid. We will be back! Thank you!!:)"

"We had a wonderful time, the hotel it's really close from Whiteface MTN if you like to go to ski. But the restaurant it's something else amazing food and atmosphere I really recommend this place. Hopefully they will update the hotel rooms a little bit they're not bad but they can be better. ."
