"We were pleasantly surprise by an amazing style this property is being renovated in. It’s still in the process of renovation so some parts look better than others but overall the hotel is being renovated in great style. The pool was out of order because of renovation I assume. The only minus was that our window was in the hill. Our view was in the hill. One morning the raccoon passed by our window and we actually found it very entertaining. But I would no leave the windows opened since it was leveled with the outside ground."

"Staff I interacted with were patient and helpful when I asked questions regarding room cost and area resources. Room was clean and practical for overnight x 3 accomodations. Will certainly stay again if in the area, and would have no problem recommending to others."

"Never in my life have I experienced such courteous and friendly staff as dedicated as the ones at this hotel. We went there to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and the staff provided a birthday card signed by the whole staff as well as a couple of freshly made pieces of cheesecake that they stuck in our mini fridge while we were out shopping. The property itself is gorgeous, very elegant. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We ended up having breakfast at the in hotel restaurant and it was amazing. Whenever we travel back to Saranac this is exactly where we will be staying again!"

"My daughter and I stayed here on a quick trip to hike in the ADKs. Because we were there off season the hotel was more affordable than usual. It’s a beautiful hotel with a lot to do (way more in the summer). It’s right in the heart of Placid and allows you easy access to all of the shops and restaurants."

"We love this hotel. It has so many unique features and designs. The beds are super comfortable. The entire property is very clean. The one thing that I would love for them to do is to have a towel rack and bigger countertop in the accessible room. Right now the towels are hung (very nicely, with fancy folds) on the grab bars around the toilet. This would not work for someone who needs to use the grab bars, also the towels slide off by the toilet and that is a little gross. A hook on the wall by the shower would help too. I am an Occupational Therapist so these design fixes stick out to me. Other than that everything was perfect, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was great. Thank you for another great night"
