"Mixed review: Very nice and helpful staff. There is very little to do in the center of Palenque. If staying again, I would stay at one of the nice hotels on the road out to the ruins. There was only one outlet in the room for all o fly devices. The room was old and definitely not sound proof with windows that let noise in. I could hear everything going on in the main plaza nearby, including the band and military recognition that started at 7 am one morning."

"The first room we were shown was awful, the very last room in the hotel. Damp and dark. Changed room. Wifi took a while to connect but once hooked up, worked fine. Staff helpful. Bathroom very poor."

"An amazing stay! The owner provided top knotch service to ensure a memorable stay. This is the place to stay in Palenque. We got to play with her monkeys and had a very generous breakfast. Monteverde is also a nice restaurant for dinner within a few minutes walking. The accomodations were excellent. We hope to return someday!"
