I loved the uniqueness; the space- with the separation of the 2 beds; the dehumidifiers; the "fireplace" heater; the huge shower-- they even had a showerstool for me to borrow which was handy due to a bad leg; the kitchenette had everything I needed! The kitchen is well appointed as is the open design living and dining room. Having access to a full size washer and dryer is a huge bonus given the amount of rain on this side of the island. "Stayed during Christmas break. Great place, very cozy! The gas fire places throw just enough heat for the chilly winter nights. The kids really liked the bunk beds under the stairs, and the jacuzzi tub. The host left bath bombs and snacks for them. I liked drinking coffee in the hammock chairs in the morning."

"Truly beautiful off grid home with all you need for a comfortable, peaceful stay! The welcome fruit and goodies was a special surprise and very much appreciated! Just a short drive to Volcano National Park which enabled us to see it at night as well as during the day. Really enjoyed the stargazing in the beautiful, clear night sky. The beds were super comfy! Highly recommend!!"

"This is a cute little house perfect for a couple. It was very clean and had everything we needed. There is a washer/dryer (we didn't use since we weren't there very long), there is a fully equipped kitchen. There is a fire pit on the deck that would have been nice to use, but the weather wasn't ideal (cold/rainy most of the time)."

"What a delightful find for our family of 8! Lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax between the 2 yurts. Beds and furniture were comfy, the interior lighting (esp around the inside top edge of the yurt) gave a cozy feel, and everything was spic and span clean. The deck with picnic table and shade umbrella would have been the idyllic place for us to gather while grilling and enjoying the amazing view and sweet breezes -- if we only would have had just one more night! "We had a wonderful stay at Lavaland in the Lava bus. The bus was comfortable, clean, warm, and had everything we needed for our two-night stay. We loved the star-filled skies, outdoor shower, delicious honey and eggs, and the lava landscape. The owners are welcoming and kind, and they gave us a tour of the unique property.
