"Had a terrific relaxing couple nights. The best beds we've yet had to sleep on. Bedding was super comfortable as well. The included breakfast was great. Western style. Lake around the property is nice to walk, has several good food options. The 7-11 is an easy 10 min walk to get drinks and snacks. And the fellow at the resort gave us a quick lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. Really enjoyed our stay. "

I booked this thinking it would be a nice hotel/ryokan and left with tears of joy, warmth, and happiness. The team here was so hospitable that this is also an understatement. This is a small business so it doesn't feel corporate but as if you are in their home (in the best of ways). Beyond this, I haven't slept on a more comfortable bed and pillow in ages. "The staff is welcoming and kind, this is a family run business for 6 generations! The half board breakfast and dinner are exceptional, kaiseki style and every dish is presented beautifully. The location is right on the ometesando, lots of foot traffic but quiet. Futons are comfortable. We loved our stay and want to go back!"

"This place was perfect for traveling on a budget. The owners bent over backwards to accommodate all their guests. I will definitely come again. Be sure to get their breakfast in the morning!!! They may not be next door to an onsen, but their tub is a good second runner up for a tired person at the end of a long day of snow play."
