Over a few days, I found out from random people that the area DID have a dodgy reputation so possibly the previous reviews are fair. "Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"We had a couple of nights stay in the New Inn and it was a lovely clean comfortable place. Great check in and access to a fridge, plates and cutlery if you need it. Chinese restaurant just a minute walk away which was really good. There was a fish and chip place too but unfortunately it was closed while we were staying. Would definitely recommend staying here though, nice safe friendly little village with a great community shop five minute walk away. "
