"Looks nothing like the photos. Pool was dirty and the girl "running" the reception was so uninterested in anything and barely smiled once. Was empty most of my stay and not comfortable for a single female traveller. Breakfast was not good, was just fruit and an egg. I wasn't able to fully open the door of my room because there was an extra bed in there that was supposed to be removed, but was not. Ashtrays around the pool looked like they had not been emptied for a month."

"I stayed one night, next morning the smell of sewerage from the bathroom drain was horrendous. I left the hotel immediately . The stairs to the top floors are steep & dangerous . Not a pleasant experience ."

"Good value for the price and centrally located for an urban experience of Zanzibar. I spent a night there before heading north to the beach and my room had lots of character with beautiful sculpted wood furnishings. The bathroom was not renovated, unlike the room itself. It was functional but not inviting. No bottled water was provided which would be nice at least to brush your teeth (can’t drink the water in Zanzibar). The mosquito net had some holes in it.
