"Hotel not for tourists. signs warn "no one under the age of 18 permitted on premisis." Rooms are windowless, beds/sheets old. TV has only porn and crime news. Neighborhood deserted at night."

"No 24h reception as advertised. We didn't have the front door key, so we had to phone call someone to open the door or bang the door until heard. Bathroom door doesn't close. The assigned room had the wrong number of beds. We only had breakfast one of the two days because the cook was away due to low demand. There wasn't any water available on breakfast."

Clean shared spaces, clean rooms. Only blot, the bedsheets which I found with marks, although clearly washed. It would be perfect if the sheets and pillowcases were new. Convenient location, just steps from the road where buses are."

"Excellent location, in the heart of Barra, very close to the beach. Located in a quiet street, not too much traffic noise. We stayed the week before Carnaval, and street party noise was acceptable. The building is very secure, 24hr security. Manager is very helpful. Rooms are clean, Air Conditioning is excellent. The kitchen has a fridge and microwave which are useful. "O lugar é muito bonito, a praia é uma delicia, o quarto tem um ótimo tamanho com bom ar condicionado. Sentimos falta de mais tomada pra carregar o celular, mas demos um jeito com a do banheiro e a da tv. Os pratos que pedimos a la carte estavam muito bons (o pirão é divino) e bem servidos (dividimos o individual e ainda sobrou), o café da manhã é ok, não tem uma variedade muito grande mas estava gostoso. O bar achamos um pouco caro, mas entendo que é o preço do conforto. O quiosque com drinks só...

"The Landlord lady, (Ireny) was very friendly, with always the greatest humor. Extra accomodating she goes the extra mile to help you have a great stay in every aspects! (She Even went out with you to show me some places, explore my gym options, set up my telephone line, where to go for currency exchange etc). Very chatty (but only in portuguese, so great for those who want to practice), but also very respectful of privacy. Amenities are very basic, but rooms and bathroom are clean, breakfast...
