"The location of the pousada is great. The staff did the best they could, they are very nice. However the pousada is just not in the greatest shape. We had the master suite, the nicest room in the pousada and even it just wasn't kept up. It has some charm, Ill give it that, and its hard for me to write a negative review. There was pretty much no room cleaning service, which I actually usually prefer, but in this case I would have preferred to have my waste can emptied daily since you weren't supposed to throw toilet paper down the toilet (this may be a Buzios-wide limitation). "While I appreciate this hotel is not expensive, unfortunately the basic cleanliness of the room let it down for us. There was purple cleaning fluid on the bathroom floor, the bathmat was absolutely filthy and the bedsheets were laundered but had stains on them. I had to ask twice to have the towels changed. One bed in our room was comfortable but the other two had mattresses that looked around 20 years old and weren’t good to sleep on. On the upside the receptionist was very sweet and the pool...

"Location is very good. View was OK. Looks better on the internet than in person. Our room was dowdy and in need of paint, new furniture, clean bedspread. A/C worked, 3 TV stations worked. Staff was not very friendly (unusual for Brazil!) and breakfast left a lot to be desired."
