Whilst some of the breakfast staff’s English speaking skills were a bit limited, a willingness to understand by various means made our communication possible. For example like many places I've stayed at around the country, alternatives to cow’s milk are available, tho’ they are not always advertised or displayed and one has to think outside the box. "The Russell Hotel is a good place to stay very close to Royal Tunbridge Wells amenities and attractions. We stayed here because we were going on the Spa Valley Railway Cheese Train on the Saturday afternoon and the hotel was an close enough to walk everywhere. "

"Absolutely fantastic, exceeded our expectations by miles! Room was lovely and bed was so so comfy (four poster bed, fantastic surprise) it was an amazing room, good tv nice bathroom too! AMAZING. The architecture of the house was also beautiful. The breakfast had everything you needed and desired! The owners were also lovely and friendly! Exceptional value and in a perfect location for all the National Trust locations"

"The room was small but had everything you could wish for. Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, 2 irons, small fridge, etc. the heating was a little too warm for us but not too much. Lovely as you are almost in the centre of Brighton, close to the seafront so not too much walking to get where you want to go. "
