"We originally had a deluxe double however on check in realised it didn't have a shower, was a bit misleading on the hotel pages as it says 'bath or shower' so could have been a bit clearer. However we spoke to the staff and they swapped our room so it turned out fine :) The hotel is in a lovely location, very short walk to the centre so nice and peaceful"

"2 adults and 3 young kids so finding a hotel that accommodates all in one room is difficult but I found this little gem. We had a room with one double bed and 3 single beds. Beds really comfortable, room very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge with bottles of water provided. Plenty of clean towels and small bottles of showergel etc. Only a few minutes walk from the city walls. Great place to stay for the price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. "Lovely property and lovely staff at pub. Great food and drink and very friendly service. Amazing value stay. Unfortunately heavy rain the night we stayed led to some leaks in property and bubbling drains in early hours of morning which hopefully can be fixed soon. Bad luck for us but otherwise would have been great."

"The owner and staff are lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. Unfortunately the room needs some upgrading and TLC, the sink didn’t work and the carpet was rather grimy. The toilets and showers are in need of repair and cleaning, we had breakfast once but again it wasn’t overly clean so decided to go elsewhere after that. "I would recommend a stay here for the fabulous central location. The room was clean and check in instructions were very clear. Please be aware there was no reception as such, but if needed you can leave your luggage at the bar next door, and there were emergency contacts listed. We didn't need any of this but good to know. There were a couple of bottles of water in the room and some discount vouchers, all of which were an unexpected bonus. The kitchenette was handy if you wanted to make a drink...
