"Remember this is camping and not your typical hotel, so be prepared. We were in a heated tent which took a long time to heat up specially since the temperature in the valley was subzero all day. The reception did give us extra wool blankets so no complaints there. The view from the campsite of the various peaks is what makes the stay worth it. You will 5 min walk from some of the easy to moderate trails, so you can enjoy every moment of your stay. The restrooms and showers are shared but clean....

Friendly staff, clean facility, reasonably priced, and within walking distance to restaurants (we recommend 1850 down the street). Breakfast options are limited to prepackaged stuff but enough to get you by until lunch. Thanks for another great stay!"

I did not see one staff member while there - it was self serve check-in and nothing open on site during the Sunday/Monday I was there, which I thought was very odd. "We spent one night at the 5th Street Inn in Mariposa. The inn is a renovated historic home from all appearances. The bed was comfortable but the table was tiny and the chairs in the room were very hard. Avoid this property if you can't tolerate that or navigate steps up and down. The shower was functional but showed signs of damage to the faucet handle and a bit of mold. There is very little counter space in the bathroom, but a decent amount of storage in the drawers and cupboards. The staff was...

"We're not sure how often the sheets get inspected and cleaned but the room we stayed in was dirty. When we flipped the flannel top over so we could sleep, we saw crusted white splotches all over. We couldn't see anything on the brown fleece but the flat sheet underneath had pubic hair on a few spots. We ended up using towels as pillow covers in case and our sleeping bag as a sheet. The hand towel was stained as well. The bed was stiff and kept us awake. It was already past their office hours...
