"Plusses: Service was excellent. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location away from busy street was nice. Plenty of hot water for showering. Minuses: Room needs serious updating. One mattress was saggy. Bed quilts shouted 1970. Two of the nights we had swarm of flying bugs (termites) visit the inside of the room. Saw them climb behind moulding. Didn’t make for a restful night’s sleep."

"We stayed for one night in chalet no.1 and loved it. The property is well appointed and pretty isolated with a lovely outlook over the Gulf of Nicoya. Being close to the River Tárcoles and Carara NP, there is plenty of wildlife and we saw scarlet macaws flying overhead in the evening. Laura met us at the entrance and showed us round our chalet which was clean and quite luxurious with two large beds, kitchenette, large bathroom with pleasant, natural views yet private and secluded, and a patio...

"Owner was friendly. Place was clean. Pool nice. Property a bit run down. I booked by the advertisment of a restaurant on premises. Think: convenient am coffee. There was a good eatery close to the hotel for pm eats. Ok facilities for an overnight stay. Jaco itself is very seedy. Casinos, prostitution, etc. It is what it is. Will avoid this area in the future. All things said, had a good night's sleep, a/c, pool, hot water and a great dinner at Koko's."
