"Clean, friendly people, beautiful property and a great pool. Very good breakfast too. Perfect location for the beach and shopping with a lot of dining choices and shopping close by. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it. "

"Plusses: Service was excellent. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location away from busy street was nice. Plenty of hot water for showering. Minuses: Room needs serious updating. One mattress was saggy. Bed quilts shouted 1970. Two of the nights we had swarm of flying bugs (termites) visit the inside of the room. Saw them climb behind moulding. Didn’t make for a restful night’s sleep."

"When we checked in, from outside we thought it would not be a good clean place but we were wrong. The room was very clean. Property was down the strip away from all the traffic and noise but walkable to general tourist area strip. The beach is around the corner. They have a lobby with microwave and fridge that can be used. Plan your day because they will not allow earlier check in than 2pm. We were willing to pay an extra fee but check in time was firm although we’re were the only tourist there....

"I loved Selva Color for a place to stay near Carara National Park and the village of Tarcoles, where you can see the gorgeous Scarlet Macaw Parrots, many other beautiful birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. 10 minute drive. There are Macaws right on the property to squawk their greetings as you check in. The staff was friendly and professional and answered all of my questions in English. The cabin I had was older, but beautifully decorated with the Scarlet Macaw red theme (perfect for me)....
