"The Birchwood Lodge was a very nice hotel, clean and well kept. We were there for New Years Eve and I wanted a hotel close to where the cherry was going to drop. The Birchwood Lodge was walking distance to the Cherry Drop on December 31. As I checked out, I notified the desk agent that they should check the switches and light bulbs. I think some lights were burned out. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay! Very comfortable. "

"For an older lodge, this place is great. Seemingly recent updates to rooms. Great water views. **Bed was less than desireable, but i have a tempurpedic mattress at home so i am a bit spoiled. Very Hospitable. Dog friendly, no children under 12. Visited in off season so very quiet on the week nights. Door county is a unique place.
