"My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at this hostel! We are two female travellers and were in a 6-bed mixed dorm, which didn't go so well the very first night we were there. We got pretty unlucky with one of our bunkmates who was causing problems with another person in the room in the middle of the night and started getting very verbally aggressive, screaming and swearing nonstop at this person. As two females, in a room with all men while this was happening, we were extremely scared and...

"Staff were very friendly and check-in/out was smooth. Beds were a bit small for two people (doubles) but clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age. If they were to be given a makeover they would be excellent rooms. The bar are is welcoming and the food looked really good."

"Hotel was fine; bed was clean. Only bad points; some noise from outside but nothing too bad. Room a bit tatty. At the price it’s what you would expect. No cold water in the bathroom; only hot. Beware that after booking online via an agent, it is advisable to call them to confirm; there seemed to be some confusion with the receptionist as a result of this. And also they require ID (driving license/passport) for check in. Would stay again. "

"Wonderful staff, the room was very warm and comfortable! Shared bathroom and kitchen were clean too! It felt like more like a large house than a hotel, which might be great for some. The staff had every possible amenity I required and I'm grateful for the extended stay despite my late check in. Just be aware that as it's close to the high street (not necessarily a bad thing), you might get the odd busy traffic noise near you. Good, decent place to sleep for the night for a decent price. "

"I travel a lot for work and need to stay in a a variety of places usually on a budget. I really liked this hotel. It’s a traditional hotel with all the facilities you can ask for. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean & tidy. It was an all round pleasant stay. I’d definitely book again. "

"The property was very clean. The beds very comfortable I had a room with an en suite. The building was very secure and asked for ID at the 24 hour manned reception desk. I was a lone female traveler and I felt very safe the whole time. The staff are friendly and helpful. "

"Budget hotel, but was clean. Mattress uncomfortable though and no hot water, when reported to the staff no offer of a shower elsewhere, or partial refund, just told they’d investigate later. I think they probably knew but didn’t care. "
