"Had a terrific relaxing couple nights. The best beds we've yet had to sleep on. Bedding was super comfortable as well. The included breakfast was great. Western style. Lake around the property is nice to walk, has several good food options. The 7-11 is an easy 10 min walk to get drinks and snacks. And the fellow at the resort gave us a quick lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. Really enjoyed our stay. "

"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "Room was cold after the oil heater ran out in the middle of the night. The oil heater was not enough for the whole night during the winter time and the hot water in the sink was not working."

"Spent a winter wonderland of a week at Mont Cervin and can't recommend it highly enough. 15min walk from town but you never have to do the uphill yourself because the wonderful owners will shuttle you to and from the ski fields. At night they'll shuttle you up to the main strip for dinner and it's an easy walk back! I recommend adding on the brekky option, saves a lot of hassle and is delicious every morning.
