"We were anxious having seen other reviews after booking however our expectations were exceeded - we found the rooms were as described and pictured, and the beds and sheets very comfortable. The rooms we booked were basic and small but with great facilities and a very good price. "

"Pretty basic hotel, would prefer to stay in something better. But for the price (in Singapore) it's ok and ideal if you are just after a bed to sleep in. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Good location for getting around Singapore, situated between Little India and Bugis (both walking distance). 3 MRT stations in close proximity, so plenty of options for travelling to other parts of Singapore. This was my second stay at Hotel 81 Rochor."

"If you plan ahead this is a good bang for your buck. We had the three twin beds room. The air conditioner worked great. The beds were very comfortable. I brought my own shampoo bar, conditioner bar and bar of soap. Bring face cloths/hand towels with you and you will have what you need if you just want a nice place to stay while you explore the city. This is not a resort. It is a hotel. We were very pleased. "
