"Breathtaking view and comfortable stay! Huge tree with multiple varieties of birds including Toucans! Our hosts made our time very special. They provided breakfast items for our refrigerator and gave us great tips on area attractions. Their adjacent restaurant was a short walk away with delicious shakes and a variety of good food! With the volcano and lake right there we enjoyed Water activities as well as gorgeous hikes! "

Large open apaces for the children to run around in, a beautiful river to dip in, a pristine football pitch and very comfortable family rooms with a ery well-appointed kitchen! "I had an amazing 5 night stay with Jorge and Myriam and could not be happier. There is a dedicated parking spot behind the gated entrance, and a pedestrian entrance if you are traveling without a car. I was able to telecommute and video conference easily, and you are walking distance to two cafes and coffee zhops. The fig tree is always full of birds, including visits from toucans, toucanets, and many more. There were also monkey visitors 3 days in a row and agoutis in the yard. I arrives late...

"Cabañas del Rio was a wonderful place to stay in La Fortuna. We stayed in the family unit with three queen beds and a kitchen. It worked out great for our family of 6. Wonderful garden trail to watch for birds and frogs in the morning. Felt at home here! Clean, comfortable beds, spacious. Thank you for a great stay! "

"Great location and close to a couple nice restaurants and bakery. Nice to have washer and dryer as an option even though there was a limit to 1 load during our stay. Checkin was simple and clear. The condo was nicely decorated with adequate kitchen amenities provided for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed our time here and felt the price was very reasonable. We loved trying out the traditional coffee maker with the coffee that was provided as well!"
