"Pasamos un fin de semana donde nos coincidió con el belén viviente y recomiendo visitar el pueblo, estaba súper bonito y puedes ir andando desde la casa, quizás la subida es algo más cansada por la cuesta pero igualmente se hace, en la casa lo único que ecahmos de menos es algo más de calefacción, excepto la chimenea del salón, en el resto de habitaciones se pasa frio en invierno, hay una chimenea en el salón de arriba pero no se podía poner. El lugar nos encantó, sin duda para repetir"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in El Gastor. The house was as pictured, though unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we could not use the pool. Instead, we got to enjoy a fire most nights! "Despite us not speaking a word of Spanish and our host not speaking a word of English, we made it work and it was totally worth it. "The whole experience was great, from the start to finish. The property has everything you need and more. The gardens are extensive and obviously the passion of the owner. Plenty of shady areas. Beautiful surroundings and only a 10 minute drive into Arcos. Nothing was too much trouble for Joaquin, and was always available to answer any questions about the surrounding area."

"We stayed in the Casita de madera for two months from January to March, i.e. during some of the coldest months of the year. The open fireplace contributes a lot to the cosiness factor but as a heating mechanism is not that efficient, so very glad there was also an electric radiator, which in the coldest weeks was struggling to keep us warm. But it is a very cozy house with everything you need, except an oven. It is dark, especially this time of the year, where the sun does not catch it at all...
