"We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is an older hotel but absolutely blew us away with the room and service provided. The room was huge, had everything plus more. The room service was top notch and housekeeping A grade. As foreigners who couldn’t speak Japanese we’d like to thank the hosts of this hotel for your utmost patience with us. "Unpleasant odour in room. Duvet over sheet. Duvet used by previous occupants smelled of BO. Bathroom very cramped. Toilet and sink overflow dirty. Bed and pillows very hard, unable to sleep. Chairs badly stained. We regret wasting our Hotel.com rewards on this hotel. The photos advertising this hotel very deceptive. Can’t fault staff. "

"Hotel staff were excellent. Lobby and general presentation was satisfactory. Rooms are extremely dated and in massive need of a renovation. Room rates reflect the current condition of the hotel, however. So, travelers probably know what to expect. Close to the station and appropriate for Japanese business travelers but not foreign tourists, I think."
