"Beautiful spa and lovely surroundings. Only problem was buying a glass of wine cost £17 for a large glass of ordinary wine. I think these prices are significantly beyond what should be charged. "

"Lovely old building ,beautiful function room ball room gymnasiem, pool ,sauna restaurant transport outside bus ect close to town 5 min bus ride 10 mins walk to Barbicon . Spotlessly clean nice staff ! Perfect will stay again ."

"Great hotel with comfortable bed. Not a huge room and bathroom is small but adequate. Heating wasn't working though and was making a racket when on and blowing cold air. Maintenance took a look but couldn't fix it. Ended up with a small oil filled radiator which warmed the room fine."

"Absolutely loved this hotel. Receptionist on check in was very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The room was fabulous, one huge room with queen bed and a totally separate room with a single bed and basin. Having a partner who snores like a freight train, the separate bedroom was a godsend. Lovely breakfast both cooked and continental. Great location right on the Hoe and 5 minutes walk to The Barbicon. Quick walk to city centre. Everything was really clean and the towels were large and fluffy. If not travelling would have stayed for a week. £10 to park overnight with paid street parking also available. Parking might be a bit tight in high season. Overall a great stay."
