"Byemills is a great place to stay.we had such a restful and pleasant stay. Our hosts were brilliant and when there was a brief region wide power cut they were straight to us to ensure we had everything we needed. Easy walking distance to local pubs and a great historical stone circle at Stanton Drew. We loved our stay and made all the more special with it being Christmas. "

Lodge was cozy, clean and warm and the bathrooms had actually been updated so were newer and nicer than the pics. Area was lovely and quiet. Had a carvery at the Cider barn restaurant about 5 min drive away and we drove into Weston Super Mare (20 mins) and got wristbands for the pier and did ice skating. "We had a fabulous 4 night stay in this lovely lodge. So impressed with the standard of accommodation. Everything was finished to a very high standard. Plenty of room for lounging together, also having a TV in each room meant you could chill away from the group as well. "We just stayed here for my sister’s hen weekend. Although at one point we didn’t think we would make it due to restriction, he hosts could not have been more helpful to make it easy for us. The barns were beautiful, the scenery was beautiful. Location was perfect! Could not fault it at all. Thank you for hosting us, and thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful barn!"

"The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. "Amazingly spotless, lots of room. Every room had a wow factor. Our first stay in a luxe Lodge and it didn't dissapoint. Slight issue with ants on the last day after the grounds maintenance but it's expected and spray was provided. Hot tub clean and ph checked every day. Reception were happy to help when we realised the first aid kit was missing and there was a cut finger. Brought it round straight away (in their defence we did decline the final check of the housekeeping team as we arrived...

Lodge was superbly clean and very pleasently laid out and prepared hats off to the host .Only thing id mention as going by the pictures i assumed it was the whole lodge pictured wene was only half but was plentyful for me and my wife .Already planning a 2nd trip with the bigger lodge If your looking definatly book "

"This was a great place to stay for two nights when visiting Cardiff to watch the rugby with family. We had two apartments; they were brilliantly located, extremely functional and clean - which is exactly what we needed them to be. Luxury apartments they are not - and the price was very high because it was an international match weekend. But I’d definitely recommend as a base to stay and hang out. "

Great hotel, great experience.

"Absolutely fantastic experience! The location couldn’t be better. The hotel is directly next to the train station and right at the edge of town. We asked if we could check our bags with them, but they allowed us to check into our room early instead. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and despite being right by the train tracks, the rooms were well sound proofed. We loved having bunk beds for our kids. Such a great use of space, and they loved having their own reading lights. The breakfast was great and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. If we’re ever back in Cardiff, we will stay there again."

Nice hotel, really close to terminal building

"Lovely staff on reception although there was a queue it went down quickly. Room nice clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Nice clean bathroom with nice extra large bath towels and a wide selection of toiletries. Lovely comfortable bed. Would I stay here again? Definitely Would I recommend to a friend? Absolutely."

Last minute one night stay

"Last minute decision to stay here, decent price, large seating in bar/ reception area. Check out is 11 which I liked without having to rush up and out. Easy check in and out. Room was a decent size and bed was comfortable, my only gripe was remote for tv didn't work properly."

"Lovely hotel in prime location, spotlessly clean room was very comfortable. Slight issue with electrics to bedside chargers sadly couldn’t be resolved but a minor irritation. Hotel very busy during our visit, all staff remained professional under pressure. Great"
