"This property is a complete bogus listing. It is not charming. All the surfaces in the house are sticky---floors, counters, bannister, etc. There were bugs. Broken light switch. Paper curtain on doorway. No mattress pads. Torn screen. Uneven floors. Rusted range hood. The neighborhood is bad. Next door home piled with garbage in the yard and driveway blowing through the neighborhood. Seeking a full refund. Beware!"

"Dr C (Cynthia) was an amazing hostess to us from beginning to end. Her place was nice and cozy, and very clean. There were nice touches throughout to make you feel at home, and she also greeted us with a welcome basket of treats. There's a lovely deck out back, where Dr C set up a nice table setting for us to enjoy eating outdoors if we wanted to. The location was ideal for the things we needed to do, and it was not far from JFK which was perfect. I would highly recommend this as a place to...

"Quick 2-night stay, couldn’t have been more comfortable. Ocean Beach (town) has everything (one would need for a Fire Island stay), yet the house is beautifully secluded away from it all. The house is well-cared for with delightful details. The view is wonderful. We had everything we needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!"

Our main issues, and why this isn’t a 5 star rating, were that multiple lighting fixtures weren’t working and there was an entire bed missing. The ad mentions “1 queen, 1 double, 4 twin’ beds however there’s really 1 queen and 4 twins. This could have caused a big problem if our group was just a bit larger. The ad should be changed to reflect the accurate information...

"The house was clean. Communication with management company was subpar. We got scripted responses to all questions, and false information. For example, we asked if hot tub was working and was told it was. When we arrived, the hot tub was broken and dirty. Also, check-out is at 10am and there is nowhere to leave belongings if you’d like to stay in FI for the day. They should allow a place to keep luggage prior to departure. Overall, great and clean house and amazing location!"
