"The history of the home is awesome. The property needs LOTS of TLC. The front desk check in folks were so nice and polite. However, the breakfast wait staff was horrible. These two ladies were extremely rude to not only our group, but to others as well. Thursday was our first morning to visit the restaurant. The ladies were smiling and very nice. "When we arrived to check in It was a little worrisome that the the front door of the hotel was locked and the phone # on the door was disconnected. Fortunately the 2nd phone number listed was answered and the mgr let us in. She was very nice and helpful. The room needed new carpet and another trash can near the desk(there was only 1 in the bathroom) but other than that our room was fine. There was a nice seating area just outside in the large porch. "The room was great, upgraded and clean; the only thing out of place was the AC/fan unit which worked, but was old and loud. The staff was helpful and the place felt safe, just not in the most scenic area, but that wasn't what I was looking for; I needed a clean and comfortable place for a good night's sleep and that's what I got.
