"The wooded cliffside location overlooking the Shenandoah River was peaceful. The log cabin had a new bedroom/bath addition, wrap around decking and wood and gas fireplaces. The kitchen had all the required utensils. There were a lot of rules and instructions that could be considered helpful. If you're checking in late, bring coffee if you want it in the morning and be prepared to make the bed with the linens provided. A great place for a relaxing weekend or longer stay. "

"Cabin was great, was a little concerned about the road in but it wasn’t a problem. Location to park and hikes good, luray caverns, James Madison home also worth seeing. 5 deer out the back window on Saturday. Thanks for the new deck and steps. 😊. Only suggestion would be we had salt and no pepper and no charcoal for the grill. Beds are old and we ended up using two but all in all a fun cabin. "

"My mom and I had the most amazing stay! We enjoyed all the amenities and it’s in an ideal location- close to the caverns and NP. House was clean and cozy and I want to add how appreciative I am that the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need (other hosts take note). She thought of it all. "Overall, we had a good experience at the cabin. The views are beautiful. Cabin 6 is between two other cabins so not a lot of privacy when you’re sitting outside. The kitchen counters had not been wiped down when we arrived but everything else seemed clean. We did lose power for several hours during our stay which was no one’s fault but the water doesn’t work when the power is out. The Stanley area was very pretty and we enjoyed our visit. "We had a good stay at the Cabin Fever. It's a great location close to the town of Luray and the park. The place would be comfortable for 4 guests with a cozy setting and enough entertainment for all. Please note that there is no paper towels or bath toiletries. Also, if you plan to cook during your stay, tap water is not clear in appearance so carry purified water. Otherwise, it was relaxing to spend time surrounded by mountains and rainy clouds."

Make sure you have a car with high clearance as the road up to the cabin off the main road is steep, ruddy and pitch black at night. Worth the drive. Would for sure return to this property."
