"We had a great time staying at Cadence Lodge. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. It was a super cute room, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. They also have a shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, cooktop etc. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent alongside the drinks and service. I loved the vegetarian options. We would have eaten there on Monday/Tuesday if they had been open. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay. "

"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub afterwards. After all, that’s one of the things we punched in the search criteria. Spend your money someplace else. You get what you pay for and I learned the hard way on this place."

"Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain! "
