"Place is more of a lodge than a hotel. Needs some maintenance... especially the bathrooms, did not feel comfortable! However nice garden setting. Also, I made a booking for 4 rooms to sleep a total of 9 adults and 3 kids two months prior which was paid for already. On the day of my check in I get called so say that I still have to pay for the kids!!! Felt like i was being held to ransom! "

"The ideal place to stay on the Garden Route as approximately halfway.However more importantly The Trading Place exudes a beautiful calm rustic charm, exemplifed by the host. The most delicious breakfast awaits you at a time of your choce, the bread is homemade. Highly recommended is their preordered pizza in the evening. The host is coincidentally the guide for the river trips, so has exceptional knowledge on the nature of the area. If all this attracts you if you are considering being based in the Wilderness area I would urge you to stay here."
