"Traveled Solo, 3 nights. The breakfast cost extra, but good value for the money. There are nice canal views from the restaurant. Also had dinner at the restaurant 1 night. Good quality food, at reasonable prices. The room has lots of room with a fridge, there is a convenience store a few blocks away. Can buy snacks, sandwiches, drinks, at a very reasonable price. Took 2 tours booked by the hotel. Informative, nice air conditioned vans, also a good value, I would definitely book...

"Beautiful new property. Location excellent to explore market and muslim section but evening can look bit scary as there are homeless around. I wouldn’t mind staying rather here and take Uber around that is about $4 to go anywhere around town and be in nice property than to be at Waterfront that is located close to the restaurants but is very wore down. Loved this hotel"

"The staff are excellent! And the hotel itself is quite nice. It worked out with our stay, we just made sure we took uber from the hotel which is very convenient when we want to go places…But the area where the hotel is located is not safe to walk around especially at night. I will still recommend the hotel because of the staff’s excellent service. Especially for cruisers since it’s near the cruise ports."

"The property is old! Needs new furniture. Staff is nice and polite, especially the restaurants. The food was excellent, although choice is limited. The travel desk is money hungry. They want to charge R280 for the same adapter for around R50 in the U.S. And most hotels don’t demand that you buy the adapter, either. They charge a trip for $10.0 US that Uber charged around $7.00 US. In addition, one needs a reservation in advance."

"Easy walking distance to the bustling V&A waterfront. Clean. Friendly staff. Had trouble with room phone throughout the stay though, so sometimes difficult to communicate with the reception or the concierge."
