"We made a very last minute booking for a brief stay for an early morning flight. We were made to feel very welcome in this lovely pub. They went out of their way to tell us there would be no food available in the evening due to a flood but we were amazed a breakfast was left ready for us if we wanted it at whatever time in the morning. Really comfortable and clean rooms and a lovely cosy country pub setting. Will definitely stay again. Thank you. "

Even though it was no-frills (for want of a better word) the room was cosy and had character, way better than the usual soul-less, overpriced, corporate hotels found at airports. "A very popular pub , restaurant and guest house. I’ve been here three times in the last few months and look for a reservation every time I’m working in the area. Just stayed over a damp wet Wednesday night and the place was bursting which was amazing to see. I recommend booking a table for food as there is not much of a chance to walk in . The rooms are clean & comfortable and has chairs and a desk I can work from if needed. Breakfast which is ordered the night before is wonderful, flavoursome...
