"We really enjoyed our stay. The people are very nice. Our hotel room felt like a cabin. Refrigerator, microwave, television, whirlpool bath, hot water, everything worked. The towels and wash rags were a little flimsy, and the floor might have been vacuumed a teeny bit better, but for the rustic feel, everything was very nice. We would definitely come back. 4-wheel drive is a very good idea!"

"This was a stay "back in time". Most importantly, it was clean and quiet. Our grandparents had homes like our room and we are now grandparents, so it was awhile ago. So, it was very nostalgic for us, but we felt unsafe in the bathroom. The shower curtains were in the bottom of the tub and would have been easy to trip up on. "Our large group of 15 people had a great time at The Overlook Lodge! The place was clean, nice and spacious. All bedrooms were large and comfortable, most of them had ensuite bedrooms, which made it all very comfortable and easy. The enormous kitchen island could easily accommodate our entire group for dinners and socializing, and we didn't really feel like we lacked anything. The parking lot fit multiple cars and it was easy to load your groceries and gear indoors after coming home....

"Supplies were short or missing. No laundry soap, small amount of dish soap, enough ground coffee for one cup, short of toilet paper. Suggest you hire a better housekeeping crew. My wife stayed there this time but when I was there in November the gas log quit working. I think the propane tank ran out. "

"The cabins at healing springs are as the name goes, healing. 😇 cozy, quaint, Appalachian charm. The actual spring water is iron and mineral-rich. Took home a few gallons and should have stocked more. My dog loved the property as well. Don’t forget to utilize their fire pits to roast marshmallows and gaze upon the Appalachian night stars and constellations."
