"Our family celebrated Thanksgiving at The Manse this year and it was a wonderful place to gather with family. The kitchen is very well stocked and had everything we needed to do a big Thanksgiving meal for our large family. The home is beautiful and has a great layout for large gatherings. We also loved being within walking distance to the Warms Springs Gallery and the Waterwheel Restaurant."

"This property is perfectly located in downtown Lewisburg. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the easy walking access to the downtown shops and restaurants. The French Goat restaurant is right across the street (get reservations in advance). Lost World Caverns and The Greenbrier are also a short drive from this property. "So sad to have to write a less than positive review, but the house was not clean and it has a strong musty smell that appears to be coming up from the basement. The coffee pot had a bunch of mold growing in the filter compartment because the last renters didn't empty it when leaving, but apparently the cleaning crew didn't look at it either. The house had a lot of spiderwebs (and spiders) inside the foyer where you had to enter which again, the cleaning crew apparently hasn't paid attention...

It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. "Really liked the property. There were only 2 of us but it would have been more fun with a group. Great outdoor sitting space. It was cold and lots of extra blankets around. If you forgot something it was there for you. The only negative and it is a personal preference is there are other homes around. No one bothered us, we didn’t even see anyone. I felt perfectly safe, just a preference. The hosts were great. Called me to give me some tips to get there. Very appreciated."
