"We flew from Texas to Buckfastleigh for a vacation with family. We loved the house and the host, Shelley and Pete, made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. Each morning she provided a huge variety of delicious breakfast items. The beds were comfortable and all the rooms were clean. "A classic pub, the building is old but it is a lovely place to stay, 2 minute walk from the starcross train station. (which also has the ferry to Exmouth) The room was clean, bright and comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. Would happily stay here again"

"Nice clean rooms had to go to the old dairy directly opposite for breakfast as the pub wasn’t open Monday or Tuesday which wasn’t a problem. Lovely area and people really friendly "

"Gorgeous cottage with lots of character, low ceilings in areas but you soon learnt to dodge. All part of the character. Stair banister rail stunning character made from drift wood. All rooms on suite so no fighting over bathrooms and a jacuzzi bath downstairs. The owners were very welcoming and full book with instructions on arrival. As well as lots of ideas of places to visit. Fresh milk in the fridge on arrival and the added dry herbs etc in the kitchen added to the homely feel for the week....
