"We enjoyed our stay. Nice modern and well furnished property. Quiet location and long beach 5min drive away. Only thing was need to bring own linen as only bottom sheet and duvet provided and wasn’t stipulated on website. Comfy beds. Would stay here again. "

"Shouted the hubby one night away without the kids. Only an hour away from where we live. Amazing view, so nice & peaceful. Only downfall was the driveway to the place was narrow & we could not see upcoming vehicles approaching around the windy roads. The meals were overpriced a three course dinner (small portions) was $118 & breakfast was a-lot more. Otherwise overall a nice short getaway."

"A curious property. We stayed for one night on our way back from the far North of NZ. No on-site dining of any kind was available: no breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The "Cafe" was closed. Our room/studio was quiet, with a separate bedroom featuring the best mattress of our long trips to NZ. The main room had a ton of floor space, with very little furniture, and a huge electric massage chair in one corner. Nothing bad, just peculiar! "This cottage was in a quiet neighborhood. Met a few neighbors on our walk to the beach and grocery store. Both the beach & grocery store are close. "Everything about Kereru Cottage outdid our expectations. Beautifully presented and maintained inside and out with everythjng we could possibly need for our 6 night stay. Appreciated the comfy bed & cotton sheets. The surroundings of native & exotic trees frequented by native birdlife including ruru at night made us forget we were only minutes from a busy motorway.
