"This is a great location! Very central and lots to do and see from this grand building. Amazing history and beautiful building which is why it is a shame that is has a few niggly points! The receptionist was friendly. I WOULD NOT advise staying for food. It was VERY basic, limited and not the best! Breakfast was lovely though! very well organised, lovely lady serving and warm in the room! My room was a bit of a maze to find but thats ok it meant it was quiet. Room was FREEZING cold when I...

Great overnight date night stay

"Stunning Hotel, great location by the train station, nice walk into town. Upgraded to suite, fantastic room - No hairdryer though, called down a few times and no answer from reception which was inconvenient for Mrs - But they full of apologies when we walked down to explain and sure enough hairdryer in room for when we got back to room later. Good bar, great service and nice atmosphere."

A very nice, well situated and well run hotel!

"The hotel is well situated - close enough to be a short walk from the station but not too close! I’ve stayed before and have always found the staff very friendly and efficient and the hotel clean and tidy. First time I ate there this time a the food was also very nice."
