"Lovely apartment but needed a thorough clean. Walking bearfooted floors felt gritty and a little sticky. Wooden cabinets in kitchen and living area full of greasy fingerprints. Duvet had about a two inch bloody looking stain on it, brought it to their attention, it was returned later in the day in same condition. Sorry to complain but it really spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. Nice staff."

"Bramwood cottages are beautiful and located in a fantastic central location, close to everything in the town which we loved. We did book the Tack Room cottage, but on arrival we had been moved to the Coach House without any explanation resulting in us trying to access the Tack Room with the entry code we were given when someone else was staying there, which was quite embarrassing. The cottage itself was beautiful, and had everything you could possibly need, but we found comfort to be lacking....

"This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

"Our stay here was fantastic. The cottage was clean, spacious, clean, and well equipped. The staff was very attentive, beginning with precise directions to get there and continuing throughout our stay. The hot tub was great and we had a couple clear nights for star gazing. "We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation...
