We visited in mid-October, when the many trees lining the streets were filled with colorful autumn leaves, and several homes were decorated with creative Halloween designs. Of the local attractions our favorites were Boiler Bay (near the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay) and the Siletz Bay 1-mile nature trail (go 5.8 miles south from the Sea Gypsy, then take poorly marked left turn opposite the Key Place turnoff). "Walked in to one bed that had been made, the other was totally stripped with nothing on it! Looked like they were in the process of cleaning, left to do something else and never came back! Totally disappointed in that!"

"The bed is not comfortable. Every night we would get whiffs of Natural Gas even thought the fire place was shut off. The room as HOT! No windows fo open but the sliding glass door to open, but didn’t feel safe sleeping with it open. A couple fans would have been nice. The 10 digit code to get the door locked was a bit much. A shorter one or the option of a key would have been nice. Otherwise the place was clean. Only briefly heard neighbors being loud, but didn’t last long. "
