"My daughter wanted to visit the Hobart Book Village for her Christmas present, so I thought it would be nice to stay local and find a nice quiet get-away. The Rich Farmhouse is just that. The driveway was semi-circle shaped so there was no need to worry about backing in and out. The beds were so comfortable. I even had a down comforter on the queen bed. So cozy and warm. There were not many places around to eat that were open and we needed some good quality R&R, so we opted to cook at the house....

"Everything as advertised and much more. The "AMBIANCE" was exceptional. Communications with property management was spot on. We experienced a snow storm (10"+) and the contracted snow plow driver was there to clear the driveway and clear most of the deck area. The owners have taken the time and effort to make this place a place of relaxation and beauty. All you have to bring is your own food (or eat at the local restaurants). "Eight of us stayed over a three day weekend. Great place! Lovely area and we had nice weather! Most of us stayed at the house the whole time except for a trip out for lunch one day. Lots of eating, discussion, ad game playing. But some went out for a bit of hiking and bicycling."

"We had a short stay but it was fantastic. We stayed here with our very close friends that we moved away from and this was a good meet in the middle location. The yard and view was absolutely beautiful the kids had a blast. Great spots to hang hammocks and plenty of room to run! We had a fun flag football game in the back yard. "For a large family and two dogs in a love with the water this was a perfect location for us. The property was well cared for. Any issues the property manager was easily available. Lake was a little small for our taste but overall was able to get some sailing in on a sunfish and lots of paddle boarding and kayaks. Thanks to Troy for his hospitality"

"The house was just as described. It was so homey for our small family thanksgiving vacation. The view is breathtaking and so peaceful. It snowed thanksgiving day and the owners were so amazing cleaning the property and even helped cleaned our cars. "Everything was great. Check in was simple and went as expected. Clean and neat, plenty of room, everything we needed, very comfortable beds in the house. There was a winter storm coming, so the property owner reached out to help us be prepared and to let us know he was nearby if we needed anything. Many beautiful views of the snow to enjoy from in the house, but we were also able to get out to visit our family nearby. We will be back. "
