"We were introduced to the Belgrade Lakes 15 years ago when our daughter went to summer camp in the area. We've been going back ever since because of all the incredible Mainers we met over the years and because Maine really is its own kind of vacationland. The Guest House where we had stayed closed and we always wanted to rent our own place to continue visiting and to share with family and friends. This lake house was absolutely perfect for us. It was exceptionally clean upon arrival, all around it was a very comfortable living space, and important to us for hosting, the kitchen was well stocked with just about everything we needed. The Wifi was no problem for remote work. We never tired of the lake view and took full advantage of the kayaks and docks, as well as the campfire. Janice was super prompt in thoughtfully responding to any questions I had both before and after our arrival. Although "Scapes" the nearby cafe has deservingly become somewhat of a destination, the house is off the beaten path of the more touristy coast, so be sure to define what you want your stay to be. For us, the house was everything we wanted - and then more."

"Jane and Peter are so welcoming and their property is beautiful! Myself, my husband and two 15 year olds had a great time. It was so relaxing and there is so much to do right at your fingertips.
