"This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. What a gem! Sue Ellen could not have been more welcoming - even making a dinner reservation for us and updating the restaurant because we were running late. Rimu Lodge is delightful. "Good sized room with clean bedding & towels. Bed was a little soft for our liking, not quite firm enough( personal preference -not a complaint). New World supermarket nearby if wanting to cook in kitchenette. Eating at Monteith’s brewery is a must (5 min drive). Nice town with wide streets & good overnight stay. Have to go to Pancake Rocks as well (45 min drive north)"
