"We booked for a short 5 day stay and were glad to realise it was such a close proximity to restaurants, souvenir stores, Victoria Street and the famous Edinburgh castle! The staff were friendly upon arrival HOWEVER we were told by one gentlemen that our room was not ready but to rest assure when it would be, we would have a wonderful view of the castle during our stay. When our time came to check in a women gave us our room but it was on the opposite end of the hotel so we did not get the view we were told. Still, a very clean, comfortable stay. There were some loud noises at night, assuming from other guests and some noise during the morning from tradesmen but overall the sister hotel/restaurant a minute walk down the road was pleasant. "

"A convenient location close to the airport and tram stop. Reception area and room were clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Room was small but comfortable. Food okay."

"Great hotel in a great location! Some small issues with some staff (concierge pointing us to the exit and not helping when we were noticeably struggling with luggage, concierge telling us he had no idea where we could go hear Scottish music and walking away from us, having to chase down a server to order breakfast each morning, hotel staff telling us we couldn’t ride with them in the elevator even though there was room, front desk locking us out of our room at 11am even though they told us we had late checkout at 2pm ), but when we pointed it out to them they corrected the issues. Other staff including the doorman and housekeeping were exceptional! Recommend they tell guests that they test the fire alarms every Monday between 10-11am. Fortunately housekeeping staff stopped us as we were running out of the hotel because the alarm was going off. "

"The scenery is wonderful, the medival castle transport you back in time. Very nice, definitely recommended, you won't regret it. The staff and service are very good too, rooms are clean. Very relaxing to spend a few days away from reality."

"The hotel was a bit old but in good condition. Reception was very friendly and helpful. The location of hotel was amazing at the heart of the city center, very close to almost anywhere. Probably will stay again"
