"Nice boutique feel to the hotel. Overall decor was good, a few tired elements let it down like the iron burn on the carpet and the bathroom flooring. Staff very very friendly. Everywhere was very clean. Good spot to stay to access the city centre."

If there was one small criticism it was that our double bed, though individually comfortable, was made up of two singles of different heights! This led to my wife waking up with back pain due to ending up laying across the joint! "

"Excellent service. Very old building so there a few things that are as best as they can be but are not what you may expect. For example, the tub is higher than normal and would be problematic if you are older. Heat seemed to be missing except in the bathroom. Still, we would easily stay there again when we return. "

Like many places it could do with a spruce up but the quality of service and wonderful environment make up for any minor blemishes. Food was amazing. We were staying for St Val’s night and thought it might affect our stay but it was a delicious dinner. Whenever I see a lot of options on a menu I’m concerned the quality might be mediocre. Not here. The quality of the cooking always seems to have been excellent whenever we’ve visited. "
