"Had a lovely stay here recently, the staff were really great and very friendly, even allowing me to stay in my room later than the official check-out time as I was getting ready for a wedding. "We absolutely loved our time at Windermere Suites and Windermere. Vicky and Alex were very welcoming and helpful. We loved their advice on places to see, their helpfulness and good conversation. The breakfast was delicious and very generous with a wide variety to choose from. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with a massive spa bath, mood lighting and tv. Our stay here has certainly been a highlight of our European trip!"

"We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. "I had an excellent stay at Ellerbrook House. It’s conveniently located a block away from the Windermere High Street. I was able to walk into town every night with a great choice of local cafes, restaurants and pubs. My room was fantastic. To my surprise I had what looks like a new but very large bed. My room was completely renovated. New bathroom fittings good water pressure. I was on the top floor and found it very quiet at night and it was well heated. My room was made up every day...

"First thing we realised when we turned up was that you are not staying on a farm but in a characterful old farmhouse. You have to park on the road outside but it is off the main road and is very quiet. Jan, is a wonderful host, welcoming, friendly, and a really good cook. The breakfasts and the one evening meal we had were excellent - and better than the ones we had in the upmarket hotel we stayed in afterwards. If you like good food then consider staying here. "Mike and Lynn run a first-class professional establishment. They provide an appropriately relaxed environment with excellent facilities. Our room was quiet, spacious and spotless. The bed was comfortably firm. For those traveling by car, the ample parking in an enclosed courtyard is a rare bonus. Breakfast selections are prepared with care. Overall, the property and management deserve a five-star rating."

"The hotel was comfortable and had wonderful views of the lake . The decor had a Scottish feel and was clean. We were booked to have a Snug but ended up having a classic double. So spacious a d comfortable. For breakfast we had a lot of choice including a full Engish. Staff were polite and helpful. One tip: when you arrive at the hotel, park in front and unload your bags before parking in the car park. Otherwise you will have to carry your bags up stairs to reception. On the whole a lovely hotel close to Lake Windemere. Will definitely stay here again. "

"Didn't realise at time of booking, this hotel was next to the ferry/boat terminal. This meant we would walk a short distance from the hotel and board the ferry/boat to Ambleside and Bowness. Also the hotel is next to the Aquarium and steam train attraction. We also found the spa (pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms) were not being used by other guests from 2pm to 4pm, which meant we had all this to ourselves. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Hotel staff very good and professional (especially George). It was that enjoyable, we stayed an additional night. Top hotel for sure. "

"From the moment we pulled into the car park we had a great welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were brilliant for the whole stay. We had a 4 poster room which have amazing views of the lake. Breakfast was very good with great choices and perfectly cooked hot selection. Service was 5 star."
