We used it as a base to travel the area, going as far away as Baden Baden, Switzerland and closer to Strasbourg and Colmar. "Peaceful location with very easy access to the forest for dog walking. Comfortable beds with one downstairs bedroom, and three beds upstairs. One upstairs bedroom (with 1 double bed) is accessed through the other (with 2 double beds) with a door in between, which was perfectly OK for us, but something to be aware of if you are friends who are not as familiar with one another.
