"Water was leaking in two of the three rooms from the ceiling onto the beds and along the walls of the rooms. We were able to use only one of the three rooms. Our host informed us of the problem per e-mail at about 7PM but we were unaware of that message as we were driving. Upon late arrival at about 11:00PM we were informed of a leak in one of the rooms but soon discovered that water was dripping onto the bed in the second bedroom. The host agreed to get us into another stay facility but by then...

"We had a lovely stay. Nice views over the fields. Kitchen well equipped with tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits. Luxury feel. Enjoyed the hot tub which was warm and ready for us arriving. Would recommend this place and I think we’ll be back."

"The hotel staff were very good, helpful and efficient. Our room was clean and very comfortable. A bit too hot and I could do with easy instructions for turning the heating down. Parking was easy and location very convenient for our trip carrying on north on the A1.."

March 2025 night away

"Hotel was absolutely amazing and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, our room (26) was perfect, balcony that looked out onto the castle and the music in the drawing room made a perfect castle atmosphere, breakfast was lovely and the staff even do a guided tour of the place with history information and even a video when you get onto the castle roof, would definitely stay again."

Gibside, good job

"We only stayed at this hotel for one night and it was great. The check in/out was quick and straightforward. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. It’s a lovely looking hotel, the decor was beautiful. Only little problem was the shower was difficult to turn on and not hot enough when turned to max. Other than that we all said we would stay there again. "
