"Captain's Cottage is super cute! The pictures really dont do it justice. We were a block from the beach. Snug Harbour and Noto's are a must for waterfront dining. Downtown had lots to offer as well and was walking distance to CC. We had to make a trip to Meijer...also very close...and was astonished at the cleanliness and upscale feel of this store. We had a great, although too short stay, at Captain's Cottage."

"All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host. "

" A group of us stayed here and absolutely loved the house and the property!! Host was communicative and understanding, house was clean. If you do not have a car just know you will need to carve out time to wait for Ubers/taxis! But this is worth it with the seclusion of the house :) would recommend to anyone! "While this property was in a great location being on the lakeside with gorgeous western view; the overall cleanliness of the property could be improved. Situated on Campau Lake near Alto, Michigan, this 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage while dated is a nice stay. There are no stores nearby, so it is a drive into Lowell, Ada and Grand Rapids. "Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the weekend for my four sisters and I. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed a wonderful fire in the pit. The water lilies made fishing from the dock a bit challenging, but we did manage to catch some bluegill. Overall a great experience.
