"As promised, this was a classic basic bach. Sun all day on the deck. The wifi worked so I could access online tools for study. Appreciated the mosquito net over the comfortable bed. Short walk to the cafe, short drive to wonderful waterfall walk. The host was onsite and very accomodating. "

"We stayed at the cottage for a family wedding. It was the perfect place for us to stay due to the location, and it’s size. The cottage had everything we needed in a peaceful location."

"This property and the hosts are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience or a more comfortable cottage. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy travels to New Zealand. We traveled from the States and found the location to be perfect for day trips to the city, Hamilton, Raglan, Waitomo (glow worm caves), Hobbiton, and surrounding areas. We highly recommend! "

"Lovely little cottage on a lifestyle block. Kitchen well appointed with everything you need for cooking meals. Modern stovetop and oven an added bonus. Loved the decor and the deck protected you from the summer sun.Rod would periodically check in to see if we needed anything, like extra towels. "The property is new, well equipped, comfortable, with great views of the basin and big skies. There is good wifi. The area is residential but just 5 mins away there's a great bus service into the city centre (20mins) and to the nearby beach [10mins]. Parking is available but we used public transport to explore Auckland and the coast. "

"Have stayed at Barclay 3 or 4 times over the years and I’m not sure I’ll return again. The property is very run down, more like a motel level of furnishings and overall condition (broken door stops, carpet sagging/rolling). Good location and spacious when travelling with a group."

"We love staying in the 3 bedroom super suite. It's so spacious and very much feels like a home away from home. Views are amazing from the large decks. The check in procedure was extremely painful though. The receptionist was not able to communicate very well and left us baffled at times as to what she was saying. We wanted to park one car for the night, but this became a 15 minute ordeal to arrange. Pieces of paper were shoved in front of me with no explanation as to what I was supposed to...
