"The reviews told me the chances of getting bed bugs was likely. I did get bed bugs. And am now attempting to deal with this which continuing to travel. The actual place was okay but they need to fumigated. If you are ok with bedbugs it’s an okay place. Otherwise. Be warned. Also. The staff were not friendly or helpful in any manner. "Ostello is a great location, away from the touristy areas. My husband and I chose this place, for the 3rd time because it’s in a local & quiet neighborhood. There are about 3 restaurants and a gelato place within 3 min of walking. We stayed for a week (for the 3rd time) and here’s things to consider. You won’t be getting new towels, toilet paper and change of sheets, after staying many days, unless you ask. We stayed for a week, as a family of 4, and had to ask for new towels and more toilet...

"A superb stay in Florence close to anything we wanted to see and do. Plus the hosts even helped setup a private Wine tour at one of the regions oldest vineyards, exceptional support by the hosts. The space was exactly as listed and very comfortable would definitely return and stay at Zen Island on any trip to Florence. We were not disappointed with any part of the visit."

"We stayed in the upstairs apartment of a farmhouse. The owners Mom was very thorough in her checking procedures even though her English was limited. The apartment was well insulated and clean.
