"The property was being remodeled. I got there and was told, after calling the owner a couple of times before getting a return call, that the reservation was made in error. It was a busy holiday weekend. I had to find another place to stay which I did but it was farther from where I wanted to be and with no view or ambience at a higher rate. "

"The Buena Creek Refuge is indeed a beautiful refuge. We felt relaxed the moment we popped out of the cars. Nine of us spent 6 nights celebrating our 50th anniversary and visiting the area attractions. It was wonderful to have the Refuge to come home to rather than some hotel. The 2 grandkids loved the pool and climbing to the gazebo almost as much as Legoland. Great kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas and did I mention 5 king beds!
